The 2nd Foro Brasil España has the goal to strengthen the relationship between Brazil and Spain, involving students and businessmen from both countries in discussions that guided Brazilian economy and politics in the last years, generating more engagement with the markets and its current situation. We prioritized this relationship through discussions about the “possible Brazil”, suggesting opportunities of wealth and jobs generation, spearheading the post-election scene and the biggest period of crisis that the country lived.
All the debate will be made in the format of round tables and panels with important names from both national and international scenes. At Foro, a diverse group, compounded by businessmen, journalists, politicians and other opinion makers will debate topics like politics, economy, diversity, press influence, challenges and opportunities in the postelection scene.

TIAGO BRAGA, PhD in Information Science from the University of Brasilia(UnB).Researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology.(IBICT) of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC). He currently leads the Coordination of New Technologies Applied to Products (Cotea) in the IBICT in which he coordinates research projects related to the technological information, information for sustainability and data science. It is part of the management committee of the Life Cycle Initiative (LCI), an initiative promoted by UN Environment.
ANTÔNIO CARLOS VALENTE, 66, electrical engineer, started his career at Telebrás and Telerj, acting in different roles, until 1997 when he moved to integrate the Board of ‘ANATEL and acted as Special Adviser for the Ministry of Communications. In 2004, assumed as President of Telefônica in Peru, and in 2011 as President of Telefônica Brazil. Since 2017, act as President of Everis Consulting, in Brazil.
LEO ZAPPE, currently is Global Product Manager for Syngenta CropProtection, leading multi-crop portfolios with a strong commercial character.As a certified professional in marketing and sales excellence, he worked indifferent areas of the business, both in Brazil and Switzerland, developing aextensive experience in product management, team management, business development and strategic marketing.
SIXTO ARIAS, CEO at Made in Mobile and Advisory Partner at Upplication. Previously he was cofunder of Mobext in partnership with Havas Media and other ventures like Movilisto. Founder of Media Market Associaton in Spain at 2005. He has dedicated his life to innovation, the creation of several different projects and Startups, always about digital world and he has focused the efforts at the mobile. Teaches in several universities and business schools, like Universidad Complutense, ESIC, Porto Business School or IE Business School.
CIRO GOMES, 61, started his politic/public service career at 1982 at 24 years old, acting after as State and Federal Deputy, Governor of Ceará State, Finance Minister and National Integration Minister. In 2018, ran for President in the national elections for PDT, ending on the third position with 13,3 million of votes.
JULIA TOLEZANO, 27, publicly known with the name of Jout Jout, is a vlogger, writer and journalist. Julia is mostly known for her Youtube channel focused in feminist discussions, Jout Jout Prazer, that currently has more than 2 million subscribers. In 2016, published her first book ‘Tá todo mundo mal’ (‘Everyone is feeling bad- free translation), that topped the list of most sold at that year.
KARINA UDE, holds a Bachelor in Psychiatry and an MBA degree, dedicated more than 12 years to the Human resources sector, specifically on the sectors of Talent management, inclusion and organizational efficiency. Since 2008, acts as HR Global Director at Syngenta, company where she-s been working for the last 4 years.
ANDRÉ RICARDO CRUZ FONTES is the President of the State Regional Court (TRF) of 2nd region. He is a Desembargador (Judge) of this Court since February 2001, acting as Federal Prosecutor, and later, as Regional Federal Prosecutor from 1989 to 200. He was also Federal Judge (Brasília-DF). Acting on the Academia, he is Professor at UFRJ and author of many Law related books.
MARTIN BOEHM is director of IE Business School. Martin has a BA in Business from the International Reutlingen University, an MBA from Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship and a PhD in Marketing by Frankfurt University. He started as Marketing Professor at IE Business School and in 2017 was promoted to Dean. Martin spent the last decade researching and offering consulting services at the Customer management field.
DANIEL PEDREIRA DOREA is Financial Director and Investor Relations (CFO and IRO) at Santos ‘Brasil Participações S.A.’, since October 2016, having previously acted as Board Member for four years. Worked for 6 years at Opportunity Asset Management, directly dedicated to private equity investments, oil & gas industry, mining, sanitation and infrastructure. Graduated at Management at Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), at Law at Universidade Católica do Salvador (UCSAL) and postgraduate in Taxation law at ‘Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários’ (IBET).
FELIX GARCIA, bachelor’s in engineering and MBA, has extensive experience on Infrastructure sector, focused in mobility, transmission lines and water supply. Acted as board member in many companies from the sector and as member of Spanish Commercial Chamber in Brazil. Dedicated 13 years to Acciona, company focused in infrastructure and renewable energy, with the role of Managing Director in the last 3 years.
ANDRÉ EDELSTEIN is a lawyer graduated from PUC-SP, holds an MBA from IE Business School and is currently a Partner at ‘Advocacia Waltenberg’. He is also a member of law board of advisors at Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Electrical Energy – ABSOLAR and Tax Counselor of ‘Sou da Paz Institute’.
POMPEU ANDREUCCI NETO is the current Extraordinary Ambassador and plenipotentiary of Brazil in Spain and Andorra. Brazilian Diplomat, Andreucci served between 2006 and 2018 as Chief of Protocol to the President in Brazil. From 2011 to 2016 he was Chief Advisor Diplomatic of Brazilian Vice-President. From 2006 to 2011, Andreucci Neto acted as Minister-Counselor of Brazilian Embassy in Washington D.C., where he managed the sector of Economic, Trading and Financial politics affairs. From 2003 to 2006 he was Secretary of International Affairs of the Ministry of Development, Industry and International Trading of Brazil.
TÁBATA AMARAL, 25, political scientist, astrophysicist and education activist. Cofounded ‘Movimento Acredito’, cross-partisan movement focused on reducing the inequality on the country and ‘Movimento Mapa educação’ with the mission to engage the youth to fight for a better education for the whole population. In 2018, was elected as Federal Deputy representing the State of São Paulo, being the most voted candidate in the State, with 264 thousand votes.
RENATO JANINE RIBEIRO is a Brazilian political philosopher and full professor of ethics and political philosophy at the University of São Paulo. As of April 6, 2015 he was named Minister of Education of Brazil in the cabinet of Dilma Rousseff.
JOÃO MARCO DA CUNHA, worked six years as economist at BNDES, project analyst at FINEP and consultant at ‘Instituto Brasileiro de Economia’. He has a Bachelor’s in Economy from PUC-SP and earned a Master’s from FGV-SP. In addition, he holds a Master’s and PhD in Electrical Engineering from PUC-RJ. Since 2017, he writes articles about economics and politics that were published in ‘O Globo’, ‘Valor Econômico’, ‘Folha.com’ and ESADE.

BERNARDO FIGUEIREDO, economist, former president of Empresa Estatal de Planejamento e Logística (EPL), responsible for billions of investment in infrastructure in Brazil. In charge of the Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres and Associação Nacional dos Transportes Ferroviários. Figueiredo consider himself a expert, having spent 40 years working with logistics.
DJAMILA RIBEIRO, is philosopher, feminist, writer, and academic. She’s a researcher and holds a Master in philosophy from Universidade Federal de São Paulo. MÁRCIO ADRIANO ANSELMO, is the current General Coordinator for Repression to money laundry and corruption of the federal police. Considered as the “soul” of the operation Car-wash, he is responsible for the initial investigations that revealed the who system behind the politics. Also, he’s is PhD in international law at USP, gathering expertise in criminal law, criminal procedural law, and international law. He’s author of several legal works, with particular reference to “Colaboração premiada – o novo paradigma do processo penal brasileiro”, and “Lavagem de Dinheiro e Cooperação Jurídica Internacional”.
PAULO BORGES, Chairman at Atman Production, big oilseed producer, in Mato Grosso State. Worked as a Consultant for SEBRAE and currently runs companies at the agribusiness sector. Further, he is a consultant at the agricultural inputs, focused in credit, marketing and business strategy.
JEAN WYLLYS is politician, journalist and holds a Masters in Arts/Letters and Linguistics from Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). He was first elected in 2010 for a mandate as federal legislator running for PSOL-RJ and re-elected in 2014 and 2018. Wyllys became first well known for participating and earning the first prize at the television program Big Brother Brazil. Classified by the magazine The Economist as one of the 50 personalities in the world that fight the most for diversity and was one of the congressmen with most relevant fight for social causes, especially over LGBT rights.
